Legendary Motown singer Teena Marie has invited a group of young volunteers from Greenwich who are taking part in SOUND STAGE 2010 to meet her before her sold out show at Indigo2on the 30th of January.
More than just the opportunity to sit in on a sound check, the participants will also have a tour of the areas that are usually out of bounds, meet the technical team and have the opportunity to ask Teena Marie questions before the show.
Susanne Buck, education manager of the British Music Experience says "We are enormously grateful to Teena Marie for allowing these young people to get an insight into the life of an artist. By witnessing what goes on both behind the scenes they will get a far better understanding of how the gig 'experience' is created, exactly what the Sound Stage project is set up to do".
