LIPA's Mark Featherstone-Witty Joins The British Music Experience Board of Trustees

The BME Trust is delighted to welcome Founding Principal of LIPA, Mark Featherstone-Witty OBE to its Board of Trustees. This cements the partnership between the British Music Experience and the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts. Mark is additionally well known for creating the British Recording Industry Trust BRIT School in Croydon which has developed a track record of developing a long list of new young artists such as Amy Winehouse, Jessie J, Rizzle Kicks and Adele as well as technically trained music industry professionals. LIPA was championed by the late Sir George Martin and has the support of Sir Paul McCartney as patron. Mark alongside BME’s partner Gibson first introduced the concept of bringing the Museum to Liverpool.

"I was delighted to have been the matchmaker between Harvey, who created the BME and Liverpool City Council. I am as chuffed to both join the Board, so playing a part in the future development, and know that LIPA is the BME’s educational partner." - Mark Featherstone-Witty OBE
