WHAT'S ON FOR FAMILIES

Rock The Ages
8, 9 or 12 April
1.30pm-4pm
Pre-booking essential
Bring your own instruments for a jam session with a difference, as we take a whistle-stop tour of musical styles from the last 70 years.
Find out what made punks rock and cultures clash as we skiffle through the decades, learning some new techniques and ending in the ultimate battle of the bands.
What to expect
Don’t get stage fright! We’re not expecting a ready-made Keith Richards. This is all about learning from the greats and helping you hone your skills.
We’ll provide the basics (drums, mics) and some not so basics (Theremin, skiffle board). You bring your own instruments* or just some enthusiasm!
Email families@britishmusicexperience.com for more information and a booking form.
*due to limited space, we ask that you only bring acoustic instruments with you, we’ll have a few louder things for you to have a go on. If in doubt get in touch.

Jam Studio
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, and 11 April
12pm - 3pm
Drop in
If you can’t make our Jam Sessions we’ve got the next best thing! On certain days we’ll be opening the doors to our Jam Studio where we’ll be letting you get your hands on some of our favourite instruments.
Find out how to play a Theramin, show your family what you can do on the drums, or just rock out with an electric guitar, it’s up to you.
