Following runs in Berlin, Shanghai, Tokyo, Sydney and Los Angeles, the British Music Experience was proud to showcase the world's premier guitar company, Gibson Guitar's exhibition Gibson Through The Lens.
The exhibition brought together over sixty fine art prints from thirty of the world's most respected rock photographers including Baron Wolman, Neal Preston, Mick Rock, Ross Halfin and the late Jim Marshall, whose images captured our best loved and respected Guitar Hero's with their Gibson Guitars. The images included some of the worlds most well respected musicians, including:
Jimi Hendrix / Jimmy Page / Keith Richards / Angus Young / Frank Zappa / Eric Clapton / Bob Marley / B.B King / Jeff Beck / Les Paul / Carl Perkins / Elvis / Bob Dylan / Chuck Berry / Wes Montgomery / Sir Paul McCartney / Pete Townshend / Slash / Dave Grohl / Lenny Kravitz / Jon Bon Jovi / Jack White / Noel Gallagher
Curated by music photography archivist Dave Brolan, this was a truly unique public exhibition of iconic and rare photographs. Many of the prints will also be available for sale.
Gibson Through The Lens celebrated Gibson Guitar through the ages as caught on camera and showcased the illustrious history and artist association with the brand through to present day.
