From July 26 the British Music Experience is delighted to be heading out locally to Greenwich Summer Sessions.
The concert series taking place against the remarkable back drop of the Old Royal Naval College grounds will be temporary home to the BME Bus.
The ‘British Music Experience on Tour’, is a nationwide music education tour, showcasing a slice of the museum itself. It set off on its journey across the UK following a send off from musician Kate Nash in Trafalgar Square. The tour, in the form of a traditional 1968 Routemaster London bus, has been created as a mobile replica of the music museum. Throughout spring it has visited schools up and down the country with the aim of inspiring young people to engage with music. Now at Greenwich Summer Session we will be bringing elements of the British Music Experience thriving public programme for concert audiences to engage with, in the form of artist master classes, Q and A’s and jam sessions.
Inside the ‘moving museum’ people will be able to interact with state of the art music technology, provided by Sennheiser and Gibson, along with perusing original pieces of music memorabilia from artists including Leona Lewis, The Beatles and Coldplay.
