Workshop: Rewind
Music is more than just a soundtrack to our lives, it has an enormous impact on the way we live them too. From the clothes we wear to the stories in the news, discover how popular music has shaped our society. This fun and engaging workshop takes you back in time to the end of the Second World War. Using stories, music and objects from the museum's collection your class must find their way back to the present day - meeting some interesting characters along the way!

From Calypso music introduced through immigrant routes such as the Empire Windrush to the 'Beat' generation from the coast of California London has been influenced by different cultures around the world. Pick up your passports and travel through place and time as we discover our eclectic history and find out what makes London the cultural and creative hub of the world in our globe trotting workshop.
