Think like a music industry professional and explore diverse skills from managing an artist and developing their commercial success, to looking at the technologies required to make access to your favorite stars possible.
With clear links to cross-curriculum subjects for GCSE’s, 14-19 Diplomas, A & AS Levels and BTEC’s students, a visit combines Music, PSHE, ICT, Business Studies, Marketing and Fashion to inspire and revitalise learning.
Workshop– Explore IT
From the gramophone to the iPod the workshop provides an introduction into how have we have historically listened to music, and explores how we will access music in the future using the exhibition as a case study. The British Music Experience's innovative use of ICT offers students a new perspective on the way technology can be used to experience music and students will be tasked to come up with the next innovation.

Workshop: Behind the scenes
Discover how many people are actually involved in the making of a popstar. With insider knowledge from vocal coaches, choreographers, stylists, managers, songwriters and even the fans, students discover how health, money and creativity all play equal parts in the music industry.
Curriculum links: PSHEE, Citizenship, ICT, Literacy, Music.
