9 February 2013 - 6.30pm

Back in 2002 Killswitch Engage debuted the album Alive or Just breathing which saw in a new wave of American heavy metal. Meaningful lyrics were paired with unstoppable riffs, alongside merciless rhythms and healthy guitar duelling. Fast forward 11 years and this foundation has made them trailblazer’s of a genre, inspiring many and gathering a dedicated fan base.

Coinciding with the release of Disarm the Descent guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz and vocalist Jesse Leach are taking time out from their busy promo schedule to talk to fans about the making of the new album and how they’ve maintained such a high level of artistic achievement as a band.
Multi-instrumentalist Adam originally played drums for KSE before moving onto guitar, as well as song writing he has also taken up the role of producer for the bands albums, as well as other metal bands such as Unearth, Everytime I Die and Parkway Drive. Vocalist Jesse is now back at the helm of the band on lead vocals after a productive hiatus in other groups since the bands original line up in the early 2000’s.
With Adam hailing British group as diverse as Massive Attack, Bowie and Steel Pulse as influences this session is a must for any fan and budding musician.
This competition has now closed. Winners will be informed by 12 noon on the 1 February, for other chances to win tickets please see the Killswitch Engage and Roadrunner websites.
