METAL HAMMER GOLDEN GODS

Metal Hammer Golden Gods
Monday 11 June

On the day of the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards Ceremony, the British Music Experience got ready for an afternoon of metal mayhem as we hosted three exclusive master classes with some of the UK’s loudest and hardest working bands.

While She Sleeps While She Sleeps

2:30-3:30pm
£6
Since the release of their mini album The North Stands for Nothing in 2010, While She Sleeps have been one of the fastest rising bands on the UK circuit, earning them 2012's nomination for Best Breakthrough Act. Fresh back from Download and in anticipation of their August release This Is The Six, they took the time out to discuss their journey to date, and the making of the new album.

Skindred Skindred Logo
4pm-5pm
£6
In 2011 Skindred released Union Black their first UK recorded album. The tour that followed coupled the energy and integrity of the album alongside an unrivalled live ethic. With the Newport Helicopter to their name its no wonder these guys were nominated for best Best Live Band at 2012's Metal Hammer Golden Gods. Mickey and Arya will be dropping by to talk about some of their best live moments, being out on the road and the influences at work when creating Skindreds individual sound.

 Black Spiders Black Spiders
5:30-6:30pm
£6
In the Best UK Band Category in 2012 were the Black Spiders. With critics and fellow musicians championing the debut album Sons of the North, the band injected a dose of high octane Rock n Roll up and down the country. As well as releasing Aprils EP Kiss Tried to Kill Me on their own label Dark Riders they also headed out on the road with rock legends Thin Lizzy.
