The British Music Experience is a great place to visit for all kinds of different age groups. If you are bringing children with you, you can pick up a free activity book featuring our characters from throughout the eras which takes you round the timeline from 1945, right up to the present day and helps build the story of all of the dazzling outfits and memorabilia in the cases.
In addition to this, the British Music Experience is highly interactive, so there's lots for children to get involved in. The 'Dance The Decades' booth is a particular favourite, teaching the different dances from over the years such as the Macarena, The Birdy Dance and disco dancing.
We also have a whole area of musical instruments that we invite our guests to pick up and play. A popular choice with our smaller guests are the drum kits, but any budding musical maestros in the family are likely to run straight to the guitars.
Our crew are a very friendly and knowledgeable bunch and are here to assist you in any way they can. If it's a story about a particular artefact, help with the interactives or assistance with the activity book, they're here to help.
Throughout the year, especially school holidays, we will be providing extra activities for our young rock stars. Keep an eye on our website and social media for announcements.
