Infamous offshore pirate radio station, Radio Caroline, will be coming ashore and broadcasting live and loud from the British Music Experience until Saturday 7th August.
Founded in 1964, Radio Caroline has established itself in broadcasting and British history for its renegade attitude. Defying the Government and other radio stations of the time, Caroline became the backbone of the 1960s by playing the music that its listeners wanted to hear – the music that defined a generation and went on to become the best rock and roll music of all time.
As part of London 60's Week, Radio Caroline will be based in the British Music Experience for a week, broadcasting daily from 11am to 7pm. Playing all the Caroline Classics, the guys also be bringing their Making Waves Exhibition to the British Music Experience, celebrating the offshore revolutionaries and telling the story of the only offshore radio station still broadcasting today from a ship.
