PRODUCER SERIES: STEVE LYON MASTERCLASS

Producer Series: Steve Lyon Masterclass

Wednesday 26th May 2010

Steve LyonSteve Lyon started his career in the late eighties as an engineer under Rolling Stones / The Who producer Glyn Johns and then graduated to producer status working at prestigious studios such as The Townhouse, Manor Studios, Church Studios and George Martin's own Air Studios and has worked with Paul McCartney, The Wedding Present, The Cure, Amplifer, SUZERAIN and Depeche Mode, recording their classic Violator and Songs Of Faith & Devotion albums.

Steve shared his unique experiences, techniques and stories working with these amazing artists - the stories of recording with Depeche Mode and The Cure were fantastic -  as well as developing the sound of new talents, and hopefully playing some exclusive mixes and versions from his famous portfolio.

ARTIST MEMORABILIA

Buzzcocks

Buzzcocks made their punk debut supporting the Sex Pistols in July 1976. They recorded a series of hits penned by Pete Shelley, including the iconic ‘Ever Fallen In Love… (With Someone You Shouldn’t’ve)’. This guitar was broken, in true punk fashion, into two pieces and was used for both recordings and live performances until its demise.
