Join us this Easter for family fun at the British Music Experience!

Open Sessions: 1 pm – 2pm: Gibson Interactive Area: Skiffle

Open Sessions – Come on down to the British Music Experience where we will be hosting our Easter Open Sessions. Meet our Visitor Experience Musicians who are on hand every day from 1 – 2 pm in the Gibson Interactive instrument studio. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced unleash your inner musician.

Family trail: All day

Come along to the British Music Experience and take part in our free Family Trail. Meet Dougie Floyd and his gang of musical mates, explore the exhibition following clues and completing puzzles along the way. Complete the Trail and receive a certificate making you a British Music Explorer.

Suitable for 4 -11-year olds

BME Band: 2.30pm*

Come and join us in the Star Café where the BME Band will be playing much loved British tunes from across the eras. Have a coffee and a cake or even a glass of wine and enjoy the live music playing throughout the Easter holidays.

Easter Egg Hunt: 12.00, 12.45, 1.45 & 2.15

Calling all British Music Experience Explores help Dougie Floyd find his Easter eggs for his friends, his naughty cat Jimi has hidden them and left clues around the museum. We start off in the Discovery Zone where you will receive Jimi’s map, solve all the clues to retrieve Dougie’s Eggs and you might even get one yourself and get the chance to meet the real Dougie Floyd.

Craft Corner: Weaving - 11.00-3.00pm

Easter baskets were traditionally used by the Easter bunny to carry all his eggs in. This Easter at the British Music Experience you will get the chance to learn the traditional art of weaving hosted in Gibson at our Craft Corner.

Film Night at the Museum: 28th March @6.00

Come join us after hours this half term for Film Night at the Museum where we will be showing the family classic Labyrinth. Our Café will be serving cinema style snacks and drinks. Fun for all the family.
