Dougie’s Mini Music Makers: All day
We will be dedicating a space in our Gibson Brands Interactive Studio to under-fives. This February, we have been inspired by the era of Skiffle music, with instruments made out of everyday household objects. The section includes percussion, rhythm and Skiffle instruments so your tots can dance to the beat of their own rhythm.

Family trail: All day
Meet Dougie Floyd and his gang of musical mates, explore the exhibition following clues and completing puzzles along the way. Complete the Trail and receive a certificate making you a British Music Explorer.

Get Craft with Frankie Feathers - Make Your Own Skiffle Bass: All day
Get crafty with Frankie Feathers this February. The Skiffle era was all about DIY music, so were going DIY crazy and showing you how to make your own replica paper tea chest bass. Make sure to check out our cabinet dedicated to the Forties’ Skiffle era; with real Skiffle instruments including a washboard and an actual tea chest bass.

Film Night at the Museum: 21st February
Come and join us after hours this February for our Film Night at the Museum where we will be showing the cult classic the Lost Boys.
In this '80s hybrid of horror and teen flick movie, Lucy (Dianne Wiest) and her sons, Michael (Jason Patric) and Sam (Corey Haim), move to Santa Carla to live with Lucy's lovable but grumpy father (Barnard Hughes). Sam starts to hang out with Edward and Alan Frog (Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander), a pair of vampire-obsessed comic-shop clerks. Soon Michael falls in with some actual vampires after becoming enamoured with, one of their victims. When Michael visits the cavernous hangout of David and his cronies, he becomes an unwilling member of the bloodsucker biker gang.
