Join us for what is sure to be a memorable evening in the company of a good friend of the BME, Freda Kelly, who is forever associated with The Beatles.
When Brian Epstein took over the management of the band he asked Freda (then 17 years old) to become his secretary. Against the wishes of her Father she took the job and spent the next decade working closely with both Epstein and The Beatles while also establishing and running The Beatles Fan Club.
After working with the Beatles for over a decade Freda left the music business and rarely spoke about her time with the group until in 2013 she worked with film maker Ryan White on a film about her life with Epstein and the band. That film is and we will be showing this brilliant documentary and chatting to Freda about what it was really like to work with John, Paul, George, Ringo and Epstein as they became the most famous and influential band the world has ever seen.
This is guaranteed to be a very special and memorable evening and we are delighted that Freda has agreed to do this at the BME.
