David Kelly is a session drummer and drum educator.
He has appeared on The Jimmy Kimmel Show, BBC Radio One Live Lounge and have toured extensively and played major festivals all over the UK, USA and Europe. His drumming has been featured on recordings with Dan Croll and Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
In this two-hour masterclass David will go through the development of different drumming styles throughout British music history. From pre-pop rhythms, the populisation of swung rhythms, to the progressive rock movement within the 70's, ending in the present day looking at how the current drumming landscape is a mix of the varying styles throughout the decades.
David will end with a hands-on practical session where participants will get the chance to try out some of the techniques discussed on the drum kits provided.
