Phonic Feature #4: Corey James

Event Ended

Imagine… One Thursday evening, a room full of ambitious music producers and a focus on how to make great electronic music. It’s time for another LAN music production masterclass!

Our free masterclass series, Phonic Feature returns for the fourth event. This time we are joined by Liverpool based Corey James. Corey has a wealth of accolades under his belt such as Top 101 Most Supported Producers for three years in a row from tastemakers and DJs such as Pete Tong, Faithless, Swedish House Mafia, Tiësto, Afrojack, and Martin Garrix. Corey is also no stranger to the radio spotlight. Greeted with a quick familiarity on the BBC Radio 1 airwaves, making his début appearance as a special guest on Steve Angello’s R1 Residency, followed by world premieres of his new music on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection on multiple occasions. All of this along with remixes for the likes of Steve Angello, David Guetta and Nick Romero, Corey has a vast insight into the industry and will be joining us to share this with you!

These masterclasses are hosted in the incredibly atmospheric British Music Experience, home to memorabilia, instruments and costumes from British Music pioneers including Coldplay, the Beatles and even Bowie - instantly setting the tone for an evening of musical innovation and growth.

What will be happening?
We will be kicking things off with a musical conversation exploring Corey’s journey so far and how he’s achieved his goals. Through this conversation, we aim to shed light on the reality of the music industry and how you can set yourself up for success and discussing Corey’s new event brand, Mind Control and what the future holds.

This will be followed by a music production masterclass, here Corey will be showing you how he creates his unique and energizing music, filled with tips and techniques for you to impart on your productions and inspire your sound
