This Summer the city of Liverpool is coming together to celebrate 50 Summers of Love.
As part of the BME's Summer of Love programme, we will be hosting kaleidoscope workshops throughout the Summer holidays.
The patterns which kaleidoscopes make are reminiscent of the late sixties design which saw Pucci prints and Psychedelic art inspire clothes/décor and art. Participants will make and learn the science behind kaleidoscopes. Participants will be able to turn their kaleidoscope, allowing for light to pass through, and for the coloured transparent beads to reflect off of the mirrored surfaces creating visual images. Participants will be able to take their kaleidoscope home with them.
