CORONAVIRUS: VISITOR SAFETY
Book a timed ticket in advance
We’re continuing with timed ticketing so that guests can enjoy a relaxed, uncrowded visit. Guarantee your visit and make your arrival quicker and safer by booking your tickets in advance through our website.
We can now take bookings for more than 6 people.
Our entrance is at the Pier Head (river) side of the Cunard Building. You may be asked to join a queue before entering. Our crew will help you with any questions when you arrive.
NHS Test and Trace App
You can sign in using the NHS Test and Trace app at our Ticket Desk.
Pay with card
We prefer card or contactless payments in the museum. There will be protective screens in place at all desks to make sure all payments are made safely.
Hand sanitising stations are available in key areas, to use before using an audio guide or touching our interactive displays. There will be increased cleaning in toilets and other high-use areas such as interactive zones, door handles and rails.
We ask you to continue wearing a face covering in the galleries unless you are exempt.
Storing your belongings
Prams and buggies are welcome inside the museum. We offer a small number of lockers which are operated by a one-pound coin.
Our free visitor maps will guide you around the museum using a one-way route. Our large open galleries mean that it is easy to find your own personal space.
The Gibson Studio
We will be lowering the numbers of guests inside the studio at any one time, to allow for a safer atmosphere. The vocal booth will remain closed for the time being. Hand sanitiser will be provided for playing the instruments with regular cleaning provided by crew. Our crew will be on hand to answer any questions.
We offer Audio Guides to enhance your experience. We offer headphones or you can use you own.
You can use counter service in our Star Café. There is some outdoor seating if the weather is fine.
We ask that you don’t try on any clothing and only touch items you intend to buy.
Rapid Lateral Flow Tests are now available for everyone. Everyone can play their part in keeping things safe by taking regular tests.
If you’re feeling unwell
Please stay home if you have any Covid symptoms (these are listed on the NHS website) or if you’ve recently been in contact with someone who has Covid. If you are unable to use your tickets because you are unwell, please contact email@example.com to arrange a ticket swap.
