Nicky Stevens: In Conversation

12 May 2023 - 7pm

As part of our Eurovision events programme, we're thrilled to welcome Nicky Stevens to BME for an evening in conversation.

Nicky is one-quarter of the Eurovision Song Contest winners, Brotherhood of Man.  She is a classically trained singer and musician from South Wales and the only Welsh person to have won the Eurovision Song Contest.

In 1972 three people changed her life. They were Martin Lee, Sandra Stevens and Lee Sheridan. Together they formed Brotherhood of Man and after winning the contest in 1976 with Save Your Kisses For Me, the song went on to be No.1 in 33 different countries.

Brotherhood of Man went on to have two more No.1 hits -  Angelo and Figaro - and a string of Top Twenty hits and five hit albums. They have received numerous awards and 26 silver, gold and platinum discs each.

The Guinness Book of Records has given them an award for their outstanding contribution to pop music which includes 97 weeks in the Official Singles Chart, having the biggest selling Eurovision winning song and winning by the biggest percentage of votes.

All tickets to this event are £17 and give general entry access to the museum for one whole year.  If you're in town for Eurovision prior to the event, feel free to come to BME and redeem the Annual Pass when you like.
