Amy Jade Winehouse (born 14 September 1983) is an English singer-songwriter, known for her eclectic mix of various musical genres including soul, jazz, rock 'n' roll and rhythm and blues. Amy Winehouse burst onto the scene in 2003 with her Mercury Music Award-nominated debut album Frank. With her powerful mix of black soul, R&B and jazz – and her trademark beehive and mini-skirts – she was an explosive 60s package made fiercely contemporary. The follow-up album Back To Black gained her five Grammy Awards, the most by any British female artist. This dress was worn by Amy on the video for 'Tears Dry On Their Own' and at her famous Shepherd’s Bush gig in 2007.

The Animals
The Animals were a highly successful R&B group often taking traditional blues songs and giving them a rock edge. Their second, and most influential, hit song ‘The House Of The Rising Sun’ was a re-worked American folk song. Recorded in May 1964 in one take, it opens with the famous electric guitar riff and Eric Burdon’s soulful voice carries the bitter story of a man living in New Orleans.
